Basic information about dispensers

Electronic Lube Dispensers are available in three types:

  • Mini - Luber capacity 125 ccm
  • Budget - Luber capacity 250 ccm
  • And Jumbo - Luber capacity 475 ccm

These dispensers have a wide range of lubricant and oil dispensing using electric controller. They work using batteries, when a dispenser is switched on by the selector switch, a chamber gas is activating.
Changing in the selector switches setting regulates the amount of gas producing n the chamber.
As the gas is produced, an internal pressure builds up, which is applied against a piston. The piston then forces the lubricant out of the cylinder and into the lube point.

Dispensers A.T.S. Electro- Lube provides continuous lubrication in the volume of the choice.
Dispensing working time of A.T.S. Electro-Lube can be regulated according to the amount of lubricant required by the combination of appropriate switches at the top of the unit.

Dispensing time can be set in the period specified by the user, from 14 days up to 1,5 year. Due to the electronic installed in the dispenser, there is a possibility of having continuous and precisely monitored lubrication.
The light flashes every 15 to 20 seconds, signaling that the system is in working order.
Small volume of energy use enables continuous work of the electronic dispenser even for 2 years time without batteries change.
A.T.S. Electro - Lube can be accommodated to work time of the machine.
A.T.S. Electro - Lube works in the temperature range from - 40oC up to + 65oC.
It is anty-explosive, waterproof, anty-corrosion and resistant to he climate changing terms.
It can be mounted in all positions, in difficult available places can be connected to the lubrication pipe.
A.T.S. Electro - Lube can be filled with different lubricants and oils. User can fill the dispenser with an appropriate lubricant by himself.

Mounting and starting the dispenser

To provide appropriate, without cracking up, dispenser work , it is required to follow instructions mentioned bellow referring to installation.

  1. Before installation fill up the lubricant in the bearing. To piston the lubricant to the point where the dispenser will be installed provide permeability of the arrangement.
  2. Open the plug.
  3. Remove the cap.
  4. Install dispenser.
  5. Set the proper dosage.

Remove appropriate change-over switches from position OFF to ON and change-over switch "Light" also when the dispenser is starting, from position 'OFF' to "ON". After setting an appropriate time of dispensing there will be flashing light after 15 seconds, what means that the dispenser is working.
It is recommended, if it is possible, to install the dispenser directly in the lubrication point. If the direct installation is not possible, it is possible to provide the lubricant by using flexible pipe or lubricating tube.
It is allowed to use elements for lengthen the setting of the setting of the diameter minimum 8 mm up to 1 m for grease NLGI 00 and with the diameter minimum 6 mm and length up to 5 min case of oil.
For grease NLGI 2 it is available to lengthen up to 10 cm.

NOTICE: Using flexible pipe or lubricant tube to provide the lubricant You must remember about very precise filling up the whole installation of the lubricant, the same as used in the dispenser. If the dispenser is filled with an oil, it is necessary to use the oil valve, which stops self-running of the oil.

Accommodation to work time of the machine

Automatic electronic lubricant and oil dispensers give the ability of accommodation to work time of the machine on which they are installed.
Dispensers Mini - Luber and Budget - Luber in the version for accommodation have a pipe, and Dispensers Jumbo - Luber have two bolt contacts. In both cases to accommodate work of dispenser to work time of the machine, the ends of pipes should be jointed with the joints of the switcher, which work will depend on the machine work.
When the machine is in use the circuit of dispenser is closed - dispenser is working.

NOTICE: Joints of the transmitter and switch must be free voltage. Of course dispensers working with accommodation may also work in continuous mode. It can be obtained by closing joints of the dispenser.

Choice of the delivery volume of lubricant

Using in dispensers A.T.S. Electro-Lube electronic arrangements with micro-switches, enables very precise regulation of the amount of supplying grease to the lubrication point.

The chart below shows the connection between manual grease gun and using automatic electronic dispensers of lubricant and oil.
It is accepted that one stroke for typical manual lubricator is 1 cmm.

Very important in appropriate choice in setting of the dispenser is the size of the inner diameter of the bearing ( roller diameter on which the bearing is settled).

Temperature recompense: temperature rise causes increasing of the dispensing rate, so lapse is the reason of reducing the dispensing rate. Note: Temperature rise at about 1oC causes increasing of the dispensing at about 1 %. Temperature lapse at about 1oC causes reducing the rate of dispensing at about 1%.

Pressure recompense: date regarding to the amount of dispensing lubricant and time of dispensing from the chart above, are true in atmospheric pressure. Pressure changes cause also change in dispensing time. To set dispensing time or the volume of lubricant in overpressure conditions You should: required amount of the daily lubricant ( e.g. 4,2 cmm) multiply for 1+ overpressure ( e.g. 0,5 ) in bar.
Result ( e.g. 6,3 ) informs about the setting which should be used ( in our example 1M + 2M). Thus using setting 1M + 2Mwhen there is overpressure 0.5 bar, dispensing time will be approximately 28,5 days, and the lubricant will be dosed 4.2 cmm/ per day.
Activation time: after switching on the dispenser up to the moment when membrane will start with appropriate strength pushing up the piston, there will be time delay. This time delay ( dispenser activation time ) depends on the chosen settings, changes in the way shown in the chart below:

When there is an urgent need of lubrication all change -over switches should be turned into "ON" position - in such setting lubrication will appear after about 12 hours. After lubrication start not necessary change-over switches should be turned into "OFF" position. If there is a need to increase or decrease the lubrication dispensing rate during operation, switches in use should be clicked into "OFF", then on the new switch setting.
To turn off the Electro - Luber during periods of shutdowns, You should click all switches to "OFF" position.
Other factors having impact on the dispensing time: principles referring to the choice of switches setting, mentioned above, refer to the grease NLGI 2. Using grease NLGI 1 will shorten the dispensing time at about 10%. When there is oil using as lubricants, shorten of dispensing time will depend from the thickness of the oil at about 40%.
Length of lubrication line for grease NLGI 1 and 2 causes lengthen of dispensing time at about 10%. It is not recommended to use grease NLGI 3.

Technical tips

Before installing the dispenser lubricant must be pushed into the dispenser. Lubricating tube may be clogged or the previous, hard lubricant may prevent appropriate work.
Range of temperature in which dispenser may work is from -45oC up to +65oC . When temperature is higher, length of lubrication line should be use.
One dispenser should not be used to lubricate more than one lubrication point.
In case of bid bearings with inner diameter up t 300 mm, 2 or 3 dispensers may be used.

Filling up dispensers

A.T.S. Electro - Lube may be used many times to fill up the dispenser, You should:

Filling up small amount of dispensers ( the next one):

  1. Open the plug and remove the cap (using appropriate key)
  2. Put off batteries and electronic arrangement
  3. Put off the gas chamber
  4. Push the piston in the final position
  5. Using lubricator fill up the dispenser through the escape hole holding the piston
  6. Put on new chamber gas
  7. Put on batteries and electric arrangement
  8. Put on the cover of chamber gas and turn a red ring

Filling up bigger amount of dispensers

During filling up bigger amount of dispensers You should perform the actions as in points a, b, c. Then remove the pistol to the initial position and perform the actions from points f, g, h.
After mounting the dispenser, start filling up through the dispensing hole by using pneumatic lubricator.
Pneumatic lubricator should have the ending which enables putting it into dispenser through the lubricating hole.
To avoid appearing air blisters, when filling up the dispenser, use the profiled sleeve mounted on the engine, rotary speed from 1000 up to 1400 turns per 1 minute.

NOTE: When individual filling up the dispenser takes place, notice that the piston should touch the chamber gas. To test if such situation occurs, turn on the dispenser on maximum, clear it and wait until the grease starts getting out of the dispenser
