Single row spherical roller bearings are peculiar useful in constructions required to have a great capacity of carrying radial loads and to level a deviation of coaxiallity.
This strong construction was mainly tested in cases when occurs percussive radial load. However these bearings have a low capability of carrying the axial loads.
These bearings are used with tapered and cylindrical bore.

Double row spherical roller bearing have two rows of rollers with a common sphered raceway in the outer ring. The two inner ring raceways are inclined at an angle to the bearing axis.

The bearing are self-aligning and consequently insensitive to errors of alignment of the shaft relative to the housing and to shaft deflection. In addition to radial loads, the bearings can accommodate axial loads acting in both directions.
These bearings are available with cylindrical bore and tapered bore.
